How to Use Airport Standby
STEP 1 Standby Request
Online Request
Please use the button below to submit your standby request.
If your preferred flight is fully booked, standby requests are accepted from midnight (00:00) on the day of travel until 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of the requested flight.
If a seat becomes available, please retrieve your new boarding pass and proceed to the gate.
Please note: Your original reservation will be automatically cancelled upon confirmation of your standby seat assignment.
Check-in is required to request standby. If you have not yet completed check-in, please do so via the button below before submitting your standby request.
* Standby is available exclusively on FLEX and Islander Discount fares for ORC reservations.
Eligibility
Standby requests are accepted only when all of the following conditions are met:
Only one flight may be requested at a time (simultaneous standby requests for multiple flights are not permitted).
The requested flight must depart on the same date as your booked flight and earlier than your originally scheduled departure time.
These conditions apply even in the event of an irregular operation such as a cancellation or delay due to adverse weather. (Example: standby requests are not accepted if you do not hold a reservation for travel on the same calendar date.)
STEP2 Standby Notification
Notification
Starting 20 minutes prior to departure, notifications will be sent by email and displayed on digital signage at the airport.
Where to Go
Passengers able to receive online notifications are not required to report to a designated location. If a seat becomes available, please retrieve your new boarding pass on your personal device and proceed to the gate.
Passengers relying on digital signage, or those unable to retrieve their boarding pass digitally, should proceed to the designated service desk.
Checked Baggage
If you wish to check baggage, please notify a ground staff member.
If No Seat Becomes Available
Please board your originally booked flight. If you wish to remain on standby for a later departure, you must resubmit your standby request.
Important Reminders
Your original reservation will be automatically cancelled upon confirmation of your standby seat assignment.
Standby is managed in the gate area beyond the security checkpoint at all airports.
*Standby notification times and locations are subject to change due to operational conditions.
Passengers affected by flight cancellations may be given priority in the standby queue.
